No End In Sight

"I remember when a latte cost $1.75," laments Bob S. (last name witheld) as he idles in his full-size 4x4 truck. He's part of a long line of vehicles waiting for a bikini clad 18-something barista to hand him his $4.25 latte. "I could go to that other major coffee chain just over there, and pay roughly the same. But I don't want to give them my business."

With coffee prices sky-rocketing due to climate change and wars, regular guys like Bob make it a point to support this locally owned and operated 'Caffe A Go-G0' on Aurora Ave. North. "If each of us did our part, we could be totally free from our dependence on foreign coffee, you know?" His truck inches forward and a lively brunette with a nametag which reads 'Tiffanie', hands him his drink along with a smile. Behind Bob, all manner of cars and trucks are following suit, and there's no end in sight.
